About us

The Jordan Legacy exists to raise awareness about suicide and the practical actions schools, workplaces and communities can take to prevent one of the most preventable deaths in the UK and globally. Each year, 7000+ men, women and children take their own lives in the UK, impacting almost 1 million people known to them collectively. Through collaboration, talks and other practical consultative initiatives, our vision is to move towards a 'Zero Suicide Society' which, by our definition, is a society that is willing and able to do all it can to prevent all preventable suicides.

The Jordan Legacy CIC (Registered No.12784768) was formed in August 2020 following the death of the founder’s son, Jordan Phillip, on December 4th 2019.

In this interview, produced by Adam Smith and Adam Mayhew of the A-Game Consultancy, Steve shares his deeply personal story of the day he received the call about Jordan’s death and offers invaluable insights into suicide prevention and mental health.

The interview discusses the tell-tale signs of someone who might be struggling, and why men need the right environment to feel comfortable in being able to open up.

This is a must-watch video for anyone wanting to gain a deeper understanding of suicide from a lived experience perspective.
