We're partnering with The Royal Foundation!

Backed by over £1 million in funding from The Royal Foundation, over an initial three-year period, the National Suicide Prevention Network aims to deliver lasting change in how suicide is understood and prevented across the four nations. It will improve universal pathways for suicide prevention to ensure that they are evidence-based, effective and accessible to all.

On October 10th, for World Mental Health Day 2025, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales announced that is launching a new National Suicide Prevention Network to unify life-saving work across the UK’s four nations and The Jordan Legacy has been chosen to be one of the Foundation’s Innovation partners!

For more than 12 months, The Royal Foundation had been following our work and in June, Steve was invited to their offices in London to meet with the team who report directly to the Prince at Kensington Palace.

During Steve’s meeting, the Foundation’s directors explained the Prince’s vision and blueprint for a national suicide prevention network, encompassing, for the first time, all 4 nations across the United Kingdom.

Five leading charities – working across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland – join the Network as founding partners, alongside 14 innovation partners, including The Jordan Legacy. The Royal Foundation’s investment will support the delivery of vital new projects run by each of them.

Prince William is passionate about this initiative and together with The Royal Foundation, recognises that preventing suicide is a complex challenge, shaped by multiple social, economic and personal factors and that there is no one-size-fits-all model of support.

Over an initial three-year period, the National Suicide Prevention Network aims to deliver lasting change in how suicide is understood and prevented across the four nations. It will improve universal pathways for suicide prevention to ensure that they are evidence-based, effective and accessible to all.

The Network is founded on the hope and belief that, working together, we can do much more to prevent over 7,000 deaths that are caused by suicide in the UK every year, something I have been saying for the longest time and why our work with collaborative partners to develop “One Voice, One Hope” aligns so strongly with Foundation’s aspirations and vision

As one of the five founding partners, the Hub of Hope is also the Network’s official signposting organisation and represents the UK’s largest mental health support directory.

As a small non-profit located in North Yorkshire, we feel privileged to have been invited to join this collaborative network of influential suicide prevention advocates. We also recognise how much we have achieved at The Jordan Legacy, which has helped raise awareness about our work with others at a national level.
