We were in the presence of Royalty this week..
..well, almost!
Following last October’s announcement that The Jordan Legacy CIC had been selected as one of the Innovation Partners, to work alongside The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and its new National Suicide Prevention Network (NSPN), on Monday and Tuesday, Steve attended the Network’s inaugural workshop in London.
As well as a wonderful opportunity to meet the other partners, it was a busy couple of days, as we discussed the need for action and the importance of developing systemic, joined-up ways of working across the sector to reduce preventable suicides.
This week’s workshop reinforced the critical role of collaboration, by bringing together charities, sector experts, those with lived experienced and national partners for the first time.
We really believe that we have real power to create lasting change and help prevent suicide and that collaboration will be key to transforming how suicide is understood and prevented across the UK.
This week wasn’t just a networking event, we all worked together on both days, brilliantly facilitated by The Foundation’s team and Erwin Hieltjes from NPC (New Philanthropy Capital) to create a clear plan for action to reduce preventable suicides.
This looks like the beginning of an exciting and inspiring collaboration, which will sit perfectly alongside our work at The Jordan Legacy CIC and One Voice One Hope.
