Show 20 – An inspirational story of survival at sea to raise awareness of young people’s mental health – an interview with Bernie Hollywood OBE.

This episode of Jordans Space features an interview with Bernie Hollywood OBE, who for the last 40 years has been supporting charities and social enterprises around the world, raising more than £42 million.

Bernie is seen as one of the world’s most elite and accomplished endurance adventurers, including having climbed some of the worlds highest mountains, trekked unsupported to the geographic poles, cycled across the globe, as well as being the holder of a prestigious Guinness World Record!

His most recent challenge, as part of his Boat of Hope campaign to open up conversations on young people’s mental health and suicide prevention, saw him row more than 3500 miles across the Atlantic solo for 109 days – a challenge which almost cost him his life.

A hugely inspirational individual and a show not to be missed!

NB: During the show, Bernie refers to this must-read book, Storytelling Can Change The World by Ken Burnett
