Show 15 – ‘A regular guy born different’, an interview with trans-activist George Evans.

George Evans is 29. In his late teens, George began to realise that he was different. Back then, he had the body of a teenage girl. In his head though, this didn’t feel right.

Something was different, George wasn’t sure what was going on, so he began to seek out help, first online, via YouTube videos and then he went to see his local GP.

In rural, North Wales, there were not many places where knowledge, guidance and help about transgender or other issues relating to diversity were readily available.

Even one of the top psychologists queried why George was wearing girl’s skinny jeans and asked him if he was familiar with what a transvestite was? She then suggested he came back in a couple of years if he was still sure he wanted to be a male!

Our interview, on Jordan’s Space, with George is more than inspiring, it’s a story of hope and a lesson to us all about living life with authenticity as our true selves.
