The insurance industry is all about managing risk, risk usually associated with loss of one kind or another. There are of course parallels with those whose mission it is to prevent future deaths by suicide, which, of course, is our focus at The Jordan Legacy. Preventing suicide is about reducing or eliminating the risk that someone may attempt to end their own life.

On Friday 5th September 2025, The Insurance Institute of Bolton held its annual Summer Ball and this year the event raised funds to support our work at The Jordan Legacy. By the end of the evening, more than £700 had been donated by those attending the event!

We’d like to say a massive thank you to our collaborative partner Crawford & Company – UK & Ireland for sponsoring this event and to everyone involved for warmly welcoming Steve, who spoke for a few minutes and shared our mission around suicide prevention and the importance of continuing Jordan’s legacy.
