In January 2022, Steve Phillip received a call from James Statham, who together with a number of former international rugby players had formed the Mo Bros Rugby Team as part of a charity to help raise funds for important causes. James asked if they could support The Jordan Legacy.

This conversation quickly led to The Jordan Legacy’s logo appearing on the Mo Bros Rugby jerseys as they toured the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Steve was then invited along to one of men’s tournaments in Reigate, where he delivered a talk after the games on suicide prevention to a suddenly silent audience of bruising rugby players. The MoBros lost one of their own team members not long before this game, so this was particularly poignant for them.

In 2023, James announced that in a departure from the MoBros charity brand, they would be forming The Jordan Legacy Rugby Team, with particular focus on the women’s game!

Made up of players from Europe and beyond, wearing Jordan’s name on their kits, these incredible women started to rack up a number of noteworthy victories, including a successful series of games in Dubai in 2024 with 2 teams (The Pink Team and he Blue Team), where they secured a wonderful 2nd place as cup finalists in the Rugby 7’s! Then in South Africa, in February 2025, they went one better and won the final of the Cape Town 10’s, with both teams playing in that final – yes, they played against each other!!

Over the course of a weekend from May 30th-June 1st 2025, both teams competed in the Amsterdam Rugby 7’s Tournament, once again, the tournament attracted teams from all over the world. The blue team played with such heart and passion but sadly lost out to the French in the knockout stages on Day 2 but the Pinks reached the final but sadly narrowly defeated by an English team, losing by just 2 points and a score of 17-19.
