Cameron & friends run to the summit of Mount Snowdon for us again!

In the summer of 2021, at the age of 33, Ross Keenan lost his battle with poor mental health and tragically took his own life. Described by his brother as someone whose ‘greatest attribute was his heart, no matter the odds or the adversity, he charged headfirst, standing up for himself and others, always picking the underdog. He was the most loyal friend, a person with unconditional love, who you could call on whatever the situation.’

To honour his brother’s life and in support of The Jordan Legacy, on February 24th 2022, Ross’s 34th birthday, Cameron and a few of his friends ran 34 kilometre’s, over gruelling terrain, ascending Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level! Waiting for him at the summit was his mum and sister, Georgia. They raised an incredible £7300+ for The Jordan Legacy. They also observed a very a poignant moment at the summit of Snowdon, when they scattered the ashes of another young man, Andrew, the son of Cam’s mother’s best friend.

Since then Cam and more friends took on the same challenge in 2024. Then, later that year, tragedy struck again – Elliot Forder who took part in that year’s Rossathon took his own life. Elliot is pictured on the right of this photo.

On February 14th 2026, Cameron and friends took on their 4th Rossathon. Cam said this was an incredibly difficult day, mentally and physically, for all involved, but they raised an amazing £4,059. In total, Rossathon’s have now raised well in excess of £20,000 to support our mission at The Jordan Legacy. Please watch this short video and you’ll see just how gruelling this challenge is.

This is why The Jordan Legacy exists to remind us all that we are losing too many people and young men in particular to suicide!
