The Jordan Legacy Events Not To Be Missed

As part of our ongoing #HopeForLifeUK intiatives for 2021, The Jordan Legacy has already hosted two hugely successful virtual events: the launch of #HopeForLifeUK on January 21st, with more than 350 registrations to attend and on Friday, February 26th, our ‘Retreats and Safe Spaces To Support Mental Wellbeing’ attracted another 146 registrations.

Now, we are pleased to announce additional events for your calendar. Each event, below, is designed as a mini-conference to launch one element of our #HopeForLifeUK initiative and support our Zero Suicide Strategy plans. All events and initiatives will culminate in one big day of hope – The Jordan Legacy CIC’s Hope For Life UK Day Conference on December 4th.

Wednesday December 1st 2021 – 10am-4pm – Hope for Life UK Day – The Conference

Venue – Pavilions of Harrogate – The Calder Room

This event will be a celebration of all that The Jordan Legacy CIC and its community of supporters have achieved during 2021.  Subject to the continued easing of Covid restrictions, we are planning on this being a physical event, held in North Yorkshire (UK) town of Harrogate. The event will also be beamed live via online platforms.

#HopeForLifeUK was launched on January 21st 2021 (see a recording of the launch event on this website page) and encourages people from local communities and businesses to undertake activities or initiatives that will have a positive impact on the health of those struggling with their mental wellbeing or contemplating suicide.

Hope For Life Day is on December 4th, which is when Jordan took his own life in 2019 – we want this day to be dedicated to Jordan’s memory and a beacon of hope for others to continue living no matter how tough life gets.

The conference, which is taking place on December 1st, will showcase many of the initiatives which have taken place during 2021, under the banner of The Jordan Legacy, and will also demonstrate the impact these initiatives have had on the prevention of suicides. We will have a line up of top speakers, including those with lived experience of dealing with mental health issues and suicide – each talk will also include a message of hope. We will also be sharing The Jordan Legacy’s plans for 2022.

Tickets are now available at £65 (Vat not applicable) and can be booked via our Eventbrite page here. To be kept informed of our #HopeForLife campaign and the lead up to the Conference, please opt-in to receive our monthly newsletter here

NB: Ticket fees will cover costs associated with this event, such as room and equipment hire, marketing and promotion. Any surplus will go to The Jordan Legacy CIC to support our continuing work to prevent people from taking their own lives, through our Zero Suicide Community strategy and plans.
